Kites foster friendships and strings connect the world - At 10 AM on April 20th, the grand opening ceremony of the 41st Weifang International Kite Festival and the 2024 Weifang Kite Carnival World Kite Championship took place at the World Kite Park, at Anqiu Qilu Region.
This year's festival continues to be a highly international, diverse, innovative, and socially impactful event, drawing participants from 46 countries and regions with 137 teams and 465 competitors flying 509 kites. Participants brought their unique cultural spirit and influence, showcasing skills, refining craftsmanship, sharing friendships, and soaring dreams in this celebratory gathering. Thousands of colorful kites took to the skies, symbolizing the beauty of unity and the spirit of collaboration.
